There's something for everyone at Platt

We run a variety of groups and activities to help you feel part of our church family and to grow your faith. Feel free to come along to any of the groups below or to get in touch with us for more information.

As well as the groups below, we also run activities for students.

Small groups from the church who meet up in peoples’ homes to study
the Bible together, pray and develop deeper relationships with each other. Most housegroups meet on Thursdays but there are some other options.

If you’d like to find out more about small groups, please contact the office.

Women’s Bible Study meets on a Thursday morning at 10am. It is an opportunity for women of all ages and stages to study the Bible and pray together. We also enjoy coffee and cakes each week and a monthly lunch. A supervised creche is provided.

Oasis is primarily, but not exclusively, for older folk, both church members and those from the wider neighbourhood. The main Oasis meeting takes place on a Tuesday afternoon at 2pm, with activities including discussion, speakers, tea and cake, chat and trips out. Oasis also hosts a weekly Exercise Club on Mondays at 10:30am led by a professional trainer and an annual holiday at home for 3 days during the summer.

Prospects is a monthly meeting for adults with learning disabilities and their carers. It meets on the third Monday of each month at 7:15pm in the breakout space. The evening includes worship, Bible teaching, crafts and refreshments.

Women’s Breakfast

Once a term, on a Saturday morning, many women of all ages get together to share friendship, encouragement, wisdom and an all-you-can-eat breakfast. Each breakfast includes a talk and discussion looking at a faith-based topic that is more relevant to women.

Want to know more about the Christian faith? We run regular courses for those interested in finding out more. No matter what your background or prior knowledge, we’d love to chat with you, so please get in touch to find out when the next group is.
