students

At Platt we love Jesus, we love his word and we love students

If you are in Manchester to study there are lots of ways to get involved:

Sundays

Our Sunday services are the centre of what we do as a church. It’s great to meet together to praise God and be encouraged from his word. We have two largely identical services on Sunday mornings at 9:15am & 11am – students are welcome to come to either.

SBS (Student Bible Study)

We meet on Thursday evening (from 7-9:30pm). We eat together, listen to a short talk and then meet in small groups to pray and study the Bible. This is a chance to go deeper into God’s word and deeper into community together.

Student Prayer Meeting

We have a student prayer meeting once a month (on Wednesday mornings) to pray for our great city and all the campuses and students.

Weekend Away

Once a year all of us go away for a weekend to Quinta. This is a chance to get away in the middle of a busy term, to engage with God in his word and spend time together. These weekends are times of great spiritual encouragement and great fun!

Christian Unions

We love the CUs and encourage our students to support them.

Friends International

Friends International run an iCafe for international students every Monday evening at 7pm. It’s a place to to meet new friends, practise your English, play games, join local trips, or discuss important questions about life. They also run lots of other events which you can find out about here.
