What's coming up at Platt
In addition to our regular church activities, there are other events at Platt and around the local area. Details of these can be found below.
Reach the City Prayer meeting
Our three in-person services will resume from Sunday 14 March at 9:15am, 11am, 6pm. We have a full risk assessment and are operating within the latest guidance to be Covid-19 secure. Find out more by watching this video.
The next video shows what it will be like as you arrive.
We are going to hold a short weekly service on Tuesdays at 2pm (please arrive at 1:45 to allow time to fill in test and trace information). It will be quieter, shorter and smaller than our Sunday services, particularly for those who find Sundays too busy at the moment.
Pop-Up Vaccination Clinic
There’s going to be a pop-up vaccination centre at Platt on Thursday 22 April from 10am-3pm – aiming to reach any people from the 9 priority groups in our local area who haven’t yet had their first vaccine. The session will be offering the Astra Zeneca Covid-19 vaccine (first dose only) for anyone who lives in Manchester. You are eligible to attend if you are aged 45 and over, or aged 30 and over and have a learning difficulty of chronic health condition. There is also the opportunity for carers and PAs to receive a vaccine if they are aged 30 or over, following discussion with medical staff. No booking will be required. Please let anyone know who might benefit from this.
If you are new to Platt, we would love to invite you to a series of welcome zooms over the coming month. We hope it will provide an opportunity for you to learn more about us as a church, get to know some other people, and for us to get to know you too. Fill in one of our welcome forms for more details.
A moderate 8 mile hike in North Wales. Please bring a waterproof jacket, suitable footwear and a packed lunch.
If you wish to come, please let Jacqueline know at email@example.com, including whether you will need or are able to offer a lift.
