What's coming up at Platt

In addition to our regular church activities there are other events at Platt and around the local area. Details of these can be found below

Coffee & Conversation

Coffee and Conversation club continues this Monday, 1-3pm. Do come along or invite people to join our free English conversation club. We meet in the Platt breakout space every Monday. A place to make friends, practise your English, and read the Bible together.

Parkrun Volunteer Takeover

We are hoping to provide the volunteers for South Manchester parkrun on Saturday 29th June.  It’s a great way to serve our local community and raise awareness of church.  Volunteers on the run need to have a ParkRun barcode- please send the number to Sarah. We also need volunteers to serve refreshments from the breakout space- they don’t need a barcode. Any questions get in touch with Sarah or Denis. Thanks

Manchester International Outreach

Manchester International Outreach (MIO) 2024 will run from 29th June to 13th July with the aim of welcoming newly arriving international students to the city in the name of Jesus. To make this happen they need the help of local Christians. Could you help in any of these ways? Please click on the appropriate link for more information or to sign up.

The Fallowfield and Withington Foodbank is currently running low on stocks of tinned tomatoes, tinned fruit and cereal. We have collection crates at Platt in the breakout space lobby, or there is also a collection bank at Sainsbury’s in Fallowfield if you would like to donate.

Electoral Roll

If you haven’t already signed up, we would like to invite you to join the church Electoral Roll. Being on the Electoral Roll is one way of signalling your membership at church. It also means you are eligible to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) next spring. If you aren’t currently on the Electoral Roll and would like to be, please fill in and return this form.
If you would like to know more about the Electoral Roll, or what it means to sign up to it, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
