In addition to our regular church activities there are other events at Platt and around the local area. Details of these can be found below

We’ll meet in the breakout space around the back of church.

Tearfund Big Quiz Night

We’d love for you to join us for a Quiz and Supper in aid of Tearfund next Saturday 7 October. You could come along for both or just for the quiz, and the evening starts at 6pm. It would be great to know how many are coming so we can plan accordingly, so if you want to come along please sign up here.

Bring and Share Lunch

Advanced notice, we’ll be having a church bring and share lunch after the 11am service on Sunday 15 October – it’s a great opportunity for us to welcome those who are new to Platt, so do bring along plenty of food to share with them!

Mothers Against Violence Event

On Sun 29 Oct at 1.45pm, Mothers Against Violence are holding an event at Manchester Cathedral with Jonathan Davies, Cllr. Heather Fletcher, Mohammed Amin, Nidhi Sinda, Archdeacon, Karen Lund, and Sukhbir Singh.
Last year there were over 155,000 hate crimes in the UK, an increase of 26% on the previous year. Mothers Against Violence is a Manchester based Charity working with a number of speakers of different denominations and faiths talking about culture, diversity, values, and beliefs. This is a free non-religious event, please contact, carl@mavuk.org for additional information.

This Sunday we’ll also have Food@Five. Come along, bring your neighbours and your friends and enjoy a meal together whilst getting to know others in our community.

Foodbank Request

The Fallowfield and Withington Foodbank is currently running low on stocks of tinned tomatoes, tinned fruit and cereal. We have collection crates at Platt in the breakout space lobby, or there is also a collection bank at Sainsbury’s in Fallowfield if you would like to donate.

Electoral Roll

If you haven’t already signed up, we would like to invite you to join the church Electoral Roll. Being on the Electoral Roll is one way of signalling your membership at church. It also means you are eligible to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) next spring. If you aren’t currently on the Electoral Roll and would like to be, please fill in and return this form.
If you would like to know more about the Electoral Roll, or what it means to sign up to it, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Hardship Fund

Our hardship team is available for those who might need financial help or support. If you’d like to know more, please contact hardship@plattchurch.org.
