Steve James
Steve is a Welshman born in England – he says accidentally! That means a passionate interest is Welsh rugby, as well as Sale Sharks, and a growing support for City in the football arena. All this somehow comes out at Holy Trinity Platt in one form or other.
Steve was in Human Resources before being called to work in church first at St Helen's in London and then after college at Oakhill, in Norwich, Vancouver and the Wirral before arriving here at Platt.
His other main interest is music and after making a few albums leads worship at Keswick and gets an occasional outing with the bands at Platt.
If you've read this far he would be impressed and surprised, and he would encourage you also to come and say hi at a service in church. Making Jesus known in people's lives is of course his central interest and if he can help in that he will have achived his greatest ambition. He is married to Rachel and has three children, all of student age.

"To live is Christ and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21) is a bit of the bible that really got under my skin at the age of 13 and challenged me to consider seriously what life is about. From that time on I've been growing in the realisation that life without God doesn't make any sense. We were all created to live with God as our King and Saviour, it's a relationship which brings authentic delight, satisfaction and security as we serve Him and other people.
The Journey Jesus Christ is leading me on, has taken me from Hampshire to Bristol across to London and up to Manchester. Along the way He's blessed me with a beautiful and supportive wife, Emily, and two awesome sons, Sam & Noah. Since summer 1997 I have had the privilege of being paid to do Gospel work; first as a youth worker and now as a minister in the Church of England.
Other stuff I love include: the church I'm part of, Manchester, mewithoutYou (see myspace), Bloc Party, Star Wars, Arsenal FC, kebabs from Al-Qud's, Prison Break, water fights with my boys and occasionally running with friends in an attempt to fight off the lasting effects of the kebabs.
Looking forward to meeting you at Holy Trinity Platt soon.

I am married to Gill, my childhood sweetheart. I fell in love with her at the age of 11 and although it took me 14 years to persuade her....it was well worth the wait. Slowly but surely we are producing our own football team. I am currently the proud father of three sons.
I am blessed to have been born and bred in the north...and not just the north but in the jewel of the north, Blackburn.
I am thankful to have a wonderful family heritage. My great grandfather was a Blackburn Rovers fan, my grandfather was a Blackburn Rovers fan, my father is a Blackburn Rovers fan and I am a Blackburn Rovers fan...as are my boys.
After 18 years of going to church but missing the point, God started doing business with me whilst a student at the University of St Andrews. Life has never been the same since.
Although I enjoyed my four years as a primary school teacher, my joy now in being able to spend my time teaching about our amazing God and seeing him transform peoples lives is even greater.
Liz Grady
Liz was first involved at Platt as a teenager in the late 1960's when she was brought by a friend to a Guest Service. Through this she made a commitment to the Lord. That has guided through her career in Nursing, Midwifery and then specialising in Palliative Care. Whilst working in Palliative Care she felt challenged to explore her faith in more depth and so studied the Cambridge Diploma in Theology. From Cambridge she went to the Yorkshire Dales and enjoyed 4 years on the Community at Scargill House, an Anglican Holiday and Conference Centre. The last 13 years she has spent in London on the Staff of All Souls Langham Place, as their Welcome Desk Manager and latterly as the Pastoral Support Co-ordinator.
In November 2005 Liz joined the staff at Platt to be the Pastoral Care Minister. The key responsibilities of role being to develop one to one work in counselling and in depth pastoral care as well as further developing the pastoral structure already in place. Throughout her nursing career, the verse that has always challenged the care she has given has been John 10:10b "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full". In service for the Lord we should all be encouraging one another to know that enrichment of full life in Christ.
Sarah Bradley
Sarah trained as a Primary School teacher and after a year working in North Manchester, moved to Harold Wood in Essex, to work for a church doing Youth Work – just for a year After staying there for 6 years, working with young people from all sorts of backgrounds and completing a year of study at Oak Hill Theological College, she left the job and went back to Oak Hill to complete a Diploma in Youth and Children's Ministry.
Sarah spent 18 months doing supply teaching in North London and being a volunteer youth worker at her local church. She finally moved back home to the North, to begin working at Holy Trinity Platt. In her summers Sarah is involved with youth work at the Keswick Convention and at CPAS Pathfinder Ventures.
