Oasis

Oasis is a time of refreshent on a Tuesday afternoon, a meeting in the lounge of Holy Trinity Church, Platt Lane, Rusholme in Manchester.

So what's the refreshment?

Tea yes, cappuccino no? Well fair trade coffee actually

Is that it?

Well not quite, in fact not by a long chalk! We begin promptly at 2:30pm with a hymn, a prayer, a reading and a bunch of notices so that includes some spiritual refreshment - about God and something of the world and people around us.

Then we often have a guest speaker and lately we've had a physiotherapist giving advice on fitness, a couple who've been working as missionaries in Cambodia and a coach trip around the Wirral.  That started at 10:00am not 2:30pm.  Coming up we have a talk from a worker in South Manchester Regeneration Team and a tour, talk and tea at Victoria Baths.

So a mixed bag

Certainly.  Variety is the spice of life.

Who goes?

Who goes where?

Who goes to Oasis?
