Mission
As the Mission Ministry Team, we aim to:
- present and support a worldwide vision for mission;
- actively support the evangelical Church of England missions;
- reflect an appropriate balance between the different areas of mission – evangelism, Bible translation & literacy work, medical and relief & social work;
- promote awareness of and encourage both long and short term mission opportunities;
- provide advisory services for those seeking to serve the Lord;
- support those selected as Platt Mission Partners; and
- provide a ministry to students and others coming from overseas to Manchester
The Mission Ministry Team members are:
Carlos Cervantes, John Easton, Francesca Costello, Oliver Hall, Peter Horlock, Philip Billson, Gindo Tampubolon and Alex Walter the Team Manager.

Platt currently helps support 10 Mission Partners.
Mona Perrin
Wycliffe Bible Translators
Since 1967. Based in the north of Cameroon providing translator support to a number of
teams and individuals.
Jens and Lizzie Meyer
Wycliffe Bible Translators
Since 2001. Based in Papua New Guinea and involved in Linguistics and Literacy
work.
Alistair and Susie Imrie
Wycliffe Bible Translators
Since 2001. Based in Dallas, Texas, USA and involved in the provision of Computer
Software and Website data for worldwide use.
Steven and Jo Wheatley
SIM Mozambique
Platt has supported Jo since 1986 when she went to Nigeria with Action Partners. Now
married to Steven, they have been in Mozambique for 10 years with SIM.
Tim and Annie Forrester
Navigators
Based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Tim and Annie worked initially in Ethiopia; once they
had passed the work over to the local people they moved to Tanzania in 2001. They are involved in a holistic
ministry to the students of the university there, Tim lectures and Annie is a doctor.
Sabine and Graham Stockton
Friends International
Working with international students at Manchester and Salford Universities since
2008.
