Globe Café aims to provide a place where international students can make friends, practise their English, understand more about British and other cultures, and relax and have fun together.

There is no charge for the café, and free tea, coffee and snacks are provided. Games and cultural activities are available for you to enjoy if you wish. At each café, there is a Focus for 30 mins which covers a topic of general interest. Recent examples include: pancakes; Scotland; be creative!; proverbs; study skills in the UK; why Christmas is special; Rwanda; Fair Trade. You will find the current dates and programme by clicking the 'Globe Café' option at www.new2uk.org/manchester.

| The café is open every two weeks on a Sunday afternoon from 3.30pm until 6.00pm, at 64 Daisy Bank Road, Victoria Park, Manchester M14 5QP. This is about one mile from Holy Trinity Church, Platt Lane. You will find a map showing the location at the web site above. The café usually opens during vacations as well as term times. | ![]() |
Specially run by a team of local Christians, the café welcomes international students of any faith or none. A number of the team members attend Holy Trinity Church. Other team members go to other local churches. The café is linked to Friends International, a national organisation which has connections with many such activities throughout the UK.
More than a café. As well as the café, the same team organises trips out, bible discussion groups and special events which are open to any international students. Details of these are included on the Globe Café programme and are regularly forwarded to those on the Globe Café e-mail list.
