There's something for everyone at Platt
We run a variety of groups and activities to help you feel part of our church family and to grow your faith. Feel free to come along to any of the groups below or to get in touch with us for more information.
Meeting in various homes around South Manchester on either a Wednesday or Thursday evening, our house groups are a great way to meet with a small group from Platt to study the Bible together, pray and develop deeper relationships with each other. Please get in touch if you’re interested in joining a group.
Women’s Bible Study meets on a Thursday morning at 10am. It is an opportunity for women of all ages and stages to study the Bible and pray together. We also enjoy coffee and cakes each week and a monthly lunch. A supervised creche is provided.
Prospects is a monthly meeting for adults with learning disabilities and their carers. It meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:15pm in the breakout space. The evening includes worship, Bible teaching, crafts and refreshments.
Once a term, on a Saturday morning, many women of all ages get together to share friendship, encouragement, wisdom and an all-you-can-eat breakfast. Each breakfast includes a talk and discussion looking at a faith-based topic that is more relevant to women.
Want to know more about the Christian faith? We run regular courses for those interested in finding out more. No matter what your background or prior knowledge, we’d love to chat with you, so please get in touch to find out when the next group is.
In addition to the above groups, other regular activities include weekly women’s Saturday morning ‘Triplet, Tea and Toast’; weekly women’s football; weekly men’s football; and monthly Compass hike. For more information on any of these please get in touch.
